Manifesting your dreams into reality Law of Attraction based Goal setting for students

Manifesting your dreams and following the law of attraction can make you happier: Being a student myself, I know that there is always something we hope for. Might it be to at least barely pass the exam, getting into a team with your best friends, or simply jinxing the professor to end the lecture early (or better he doesn’t hold it at all!). The more surprised we are when he actually calls in sick and the class is postponed to another day.

But is it coincidental? Or a little help from the universe? Are there still witch genes left in our blood that caused our professor to wake up sneezing and coughing? Why are some situations or things popping into our lives just when we need them, while other things we are hoping for never appear at all?

You most likely shake your head about the witch part right now, but many believe in the law of attraction and its supporting power that helps you manifest your dreams and goals into your life. A very explanatory answer on why certain things find us just at the right moments.

What is the Law of Attraction and How does the Law of Attraction work?

The law of attraction is all about attracting things into our life by focusing and acting upon them. It is the belief that we can manifest our wishes and goals and the universe will bring them closer to us. Nevertheless, it is to mention, that it is much more than material things or small daily activities like the missing professor. It is a strong belief, implemented into our everyday lifestyle.

The law of attraction mindset is not only based on positivity but also invites negative situations into our lives if we aren’t careful.  If you treat someone coldly they will treat you coldly as well. If you are friendly and supportive to them, they will be nice and supportive too. Or how Amy says: “Positive thoughts attract positive energy. Negative thoughts attract negative energy”

If you want to manifest good things into your life, you need to be good in return. Treat the people around you with respect, help out when needed, and offer advice when it is asked for. Stop worrying too much as it also focuses on the negative side of life and avoid complaining. Treat yourself right and practice positive affirmations every day. Also, look at your goals daily, visualize them and spend a moment to imagine how your life will change once they become reality.

“Only concentrate on what you want and not what you don’t want” – Jack Canfield.

What are the 3 Laws of Attraction?

There are three laws of attraction, which according to lifecoach are “Like attracts Like”, “Nature Abhors a Vacuum” and  “The Present is Always Perfect”. While the first and third laws are almost self-explanatory, I struggled to understand the second law of attraction at first. Yet it is simply explained as: If we declutter our lives we have more space to invite new things in. If you clean a spot in your wardrobe you have a place for new clothes. If you have no place you might not even buy clothes as you have no idea where to put them.

“Like attracts Likes” on the other hand explains what kind of something you invite in your life. If you are hard-working and always be organized and up to date, you most likely will attract people into your life who are as organized and hard working.

The Present is Always Perfect: Even though it might not always seem like it. You can always make the best out of each situation. Learn from it and improve. Stay positive.

How to use the law of attraction to get what you want? Manifesting your dreams by goal setting:

Set a manifestation goal:

You probably wonder how to write goals for manifestations, but don’t worry its not that hard. See this post on how you create smart goals instead of normal ones: They are much more accountable and easier to follow.

How do you write goals in law of attraction?

Think about what you really want in life. Not some superficial things like being liked by others or getting rich and famous. What makes you happy? What makes you proud to be? You can concentrate on different groups of goals or focus on general goals instead. Groups would be family goals, social goals, financial goals, health goals, etc. We created a post for each and everyone but if you are still unsure where to start click here:  This post will help you set all the goals you want to manifest into your life.

Manifestation Exercises for Visual Learners – by Morning Business Chat

  • Create a vision board
  • Create a pinterest board
  • Add a gratitude journal
  • Daydream

How do I apply the Law of Attraction? (For Beginners)

Manifest your goals in everyday life. Make it a presence of you. Energy floating around you. You can meditate when you wake up or have a journal where you note down your goals once a day.

You can whisper a quick prayer of gratitude every morning, or go through your vision board before heading to bed. You can imagine how life will be once you manifest your goals and follow the actions you would do from that moment onwards.

If your goal is to be a blogger then write on a post for 30minutes a day. If you want to be a lawyer then read and remember one paragraph each day. Small simple tasks that bring you closer spiritually and physically to your goals. The universe will support you as long as you show in which direction you want to go

Manifesting your Dreams:

  1. Meditation –  A perfect time to think and think about your future self. Imagine how you will live once you are who you want to be.
  2. Visualization Board – Already mentioned in goal setting, a visualization board is perfect to connect with your goals on a daily basis. Hang it where it is visible.
  3. Put in the work – if you want to achieve great things you need to act accordingly. Want to be an artist? Work daily on your drawing skills. Want to sell cute stickers? Create, Print, Cut, and send them out. A 9-to 5 is no excuse.
  4. Watch movies or read books where the main actor has something in common with your goals.
  5. Write down everything you want to attract before starting your day.
  6. Buy a journal and decorate it with pictures and stickers (relating to what you want to manifest)
  7. Surround yourself with people who are supporting or want to attract similar things in life.
  8. Build positive relationships.

Which thoughts and actions can you implement into your life?

  • Goals
  • Daily Actions
  • Emotions/Energy to use

Why is goal setting and law of attraction based goal setting different?

For the law of attraction-based goal setting, you put emotion, energy into your goals. By implementing small thoughts and actions into your life you keep this energy all around you, telling the universe in which direction you will go. Many people don’t believe in the law of attraction and thereby state their goals without emotions. They make it less based on the universe and more based on their own hard work and action-taking.

Never forget, every person has their own opinion in life and they are not less worth when they don’t have the same beliefs as you do. Everyone is great in their own way.

Healing Self Care Rituals for your Morning Routine on Workdays. No more restless coffee sipping and time checking

Why is it so important to have self-care rituals for your morning routine?

Life as a young professional is exhausting. Fresh out of college and right into our first job we feel more stressed and overwhelmed than most of the older folks. Our days of waking up at 9 AM are long over. We struggle to crawl out of our warm bed hitting the snooze button way too many times.  A quick change of clothes – while half asleep – and a short bathroom routine and you are ready to go. 5 minutes until you have to leave the apartment and get into your car or to the bus station. You use the time to jug a down cup of coffee because you need more energy and motivation for the day ahead.

But is this our best way of starting the day? Or does this routine make us even more stressed and jittery? Let’s be honest – we know it’s not the healthiest for us. But what is a healthy morning routine then?

Four Key Aspects of Morning Routines by Cajspirituality

  1. Physical  (Vinyasa Yoga, Stretching, Healthy Breakfast)
  2. Mental   (Journal, Write your thoughts, Read self-healing/development books)
  3. Emotional (Gratitude Journal entry)
  4. Spiritual   (Pray, Meditate)

A healthy morning routine should prepare your body and soul for the upcoming day. You shouldn’t wake up with thousands of things on your mind or whizzing through the apartment because there is already so much to do and not enough time. Maybe you even let anxiety cause you to panic before you even leave the house. It should be soft and preparing, productive and beneficial to your day, and calm, so you can start confident and full of inspiring ideas.

Then what is the best morning routine ever? Or what should my morning routine be?

The best morning routine is always based individually on your lifestyle. You can watch hundreds of Youtube videos with inspiring girls who wake up at 5 AM and still not find the perfect routine for youself.

Think about what makes a difference to you. Are you filled with worry or sadness – then you can try to write down your thoughts and brain dump everything that bothers you. If your body aches from sitting on a desk all day you can start with a gentle stretching routine that will make you a lot more flexible and even reduces back pain long-term. Or if you cannot go without coffee then make your favorite cup and plan your day while sipping the delicious drink. The best routine is always what works best FOR YOU. If you work until 2AM you simply cannot wake up at 5 AM (and even if you do it is highly unhealthy – a person should sleep at least 8 hours)

What is your morning self-care ritual?

This is how we usually start our busy mornings:

Carina’s home office morning routine

  • Wakes up at 6 AM
  • Does Vinyasa Yoga for 10 – 15 minutes
  • Makes a cup of Tea
  • Does her bathroom routine
  • Drinks a glass of water
  • Starts work

Julia’s stress-free self-care routine:

  • I wake up at 5.15 AM
  • Bathroom routine incl. face mist and serum
  • Vitamins and/or water
  • Prepare backpack
  • Gratitude journal
  • Write down my to-dos for the day
  • Listen to music or podcasts while taking the train to work

How long should a morning routine be?

The time of your morning routine is based on your daily schedule. If you want to wake up at 5 AM because you are a lot more productive then you should wake up at that time. If you have night shifts and waking up early is just impossible for you (or you simply are most productive during nights) you can also wake up at 10 AM or 2 PM.

Important: You do not have to wake up at 5 AM to have “the best morning routine”, instead you should concentrate on being intentional in what you do in the morning (Jenn from Health Happy Impactful)

Books to read for your morning routine by Vishaka Blone:

  1. Atomic Habits
  2. Courage
  3. Eat that frog
  4. The 5 AM club

The same goes for how much time you plan and invest in your self-care morning routine. You can spend 30 minutes, 2 hours or even longer than that. But I wouldn’t focus too much on time. Choose morning routine components that fit comfortably in your time slot and do them slowly and carefully. This way you do not feel pressured by the many rituals nor by having not enough time to complete them all.

What are the benefits of having Self Care Rituals for your Morning Routine?

According to Mia Fox, having a morning routine is crucial for a productive and successful day”. First, we tackle our day much better as we prioritize our tasks and time. This can be done by journaling, by adding your emotions and fears to your writing, or by transforming your hopes and goals into actions.

Your life will feel a lot more grounded and calm by reflecting during your meditation or spending a few minutes for confidence-boosting affirmations. Adding Self-care rituals for your morning routine can increase your motivation and make you feel a lot more stable during the day.

You worry less and put more effort into the things that make you happy. By creating a self-care routine you love, and improving your attitude through self-care habits you will also change your moods during the day, being less irritable, and create better relationships with your colleagues, family, and friends.

Remember, setting self-care rituals for your morning routine is not based on time or how many steps you build in. It is about reflecting on which rituals will make an impact on your life and implement it successfully for your own benefit. As your next step, we encourage you to create your own self-care morning routine and hope we see each other in next week’s post!

Reframing Questions

Reframing questions try to find new angles and perspectives for a question.

Resource questions focus on the resources each of us has.

  4. Who in your social circle has overcome a similar problem and can help you?
  5. Which books could you read to achieve your goals?
  6. Which free online resources could you use to achieve your goals?
  7. What have you previously learned that could help you achieve your goals?

Solution Oriented Questions

Contrary to obstacle-oriented questions solution-oriented ones try to show us a way how to achieve something.

  1. What have you achieved so far? How did you get here?
  2. Can you use what you’ve learned in other areas of your life?
  3. Tell me, have you ever solved a problem similar to your current one?
  4. What did you do that time? How can you implement that knowledge this time?

Paradoxical Questions

A paradoxical question goes against what we instinctively want. And through approaching ourselves from a different side we can get to new answers.

  1. What would you have to do to make your situation even worse ?
  2. What do you have to do so that it gets better?
  3. What happens if you continue your current actions indefinitely?
  4. What do you have to change to avoid that outcome?
  5. What would you have to do to fail?

Obstacle Oriented Questions

  1. What is currently stopping you from taking action? Is something/ someone standing in your way?
  2. If your main obstacle didn’t exist how would your life look like?
  3. What are you doing that is holding you back?
  4. Why is that an issue for you?
  5. Do you have bad habits? How do they hinder you?
  6. How long have you been facing said issue?
  7. Are there people holding you back? If so, how do they do it?

Products we'd recommend for our Journal Prompts for Self-Discovery:

We like journals by Leuchtturm, which have dotted pages. They are a little on the expensive side, but worth it. Any other notebook works as well. For journaling we also like to use Mildliners usually we buy Zebra Mildliners.

And last but not least for all the German speakers out there, who are interested in coaching. This is the best book on coaching questions! Martin Wehrle’s “Die 500 besten Coaching-Fragen”.  If you can’t afford it try to borrow or read it in the library. Most university libraries should have it.

We hope that the self-reflection prompts we shared above will help you deepen your self-awareness and help you find goals and a direction in life.
