[ U1/ Lesson 3] How to find your Interests and change your Attitudes - How to Change Your Life

I don’t know what to do, I lost interest in everything. Why does my life seem so boring? Why can’t I bring myself to enjoy anything anymore? 

The answer is: Your hobbies might have changed.  You need to figure out what you are really interested in, what brings you joy, and the motivation to act. 

This lesson will help you define your interests and help you create a positive attitude. 

What are your Interests?

So where to start? 

Go through your past Interests.

  • Hobbies,
  • Subjects you liked,
  • Extracurriculars like drama club.

What did you enjoy as a kid? 

As a kid, I enjoyed making floor plans of fancy castles and witch houses. I enjoyed singing and dancing. And I enjoyed roaming around forests, finding imaginary treasures. Of all of those things, I still love architecture, singing, and dancing ( I guess I grew too old for playing pirates in the woods) 

What were you interested in in kindergarten? In elementary school? In middle and high school?  Are you still interested in those things? 

If you came up with nothing or those activities are not any longer in your interest then try something different: Check lists of hobbies and bucket lists and mark everything that sparks curiosity within you. 

If you are completely blank it’s always best to try out as much as possible. Go hiking in the next national park or join a punk band. Play your first round of paintball with friends or go cave diving during your next holiday. Be open and positive about those experiences.

I am unable to find my interests - what now?

If you have nothing that interests you- you have to push your focus on exploring new things. Remember: try those things with a positive attitude (positive self talk helps a lot!)
