The Top 5 Android Productivity Apps for 2022

Today I’d like to give some extra tools for staying productive. It would be amazing if you share down below what your favorite productivity apps are – for both android and ios. There are a ton of apps out there and I also would love to test one of your favorite productivity apps! Now let’s get started 🙂

#1 Notion

Our absolute favorite this year is Notion.  You can download it on your phone, desktop, or use it online.

#2 Google Calendar

For most of my life, I used Google Calendar – it’s easy to enter events and to share your calendar with all of your devices. Google Calendar also offers you a very pretty layout with all important national holidays noted. As for entering data, you can create criteria with a unique color each, which makes it easy to just blend out (or in) whatever criterion you want to concentrate on.

Google Calendar

So, when you click on the “Add” button is it also to mention that you cannot only add events but also a reminder or even a goal. This is just perfect for hitting deadlines, pushing further to your goals, and practicing consistency. One last good point I want to mention is that you do not have to switch accounts if you want to access the calendar of another google account. Google Calendar offers you to see the calendar information of all accounts linked and puts set deadlines in one combined overview. Great right?

#3 Google Drive

The second productivity must-have is the Google Drive app. Usually, the App is preinstalled and free – if not you can find it in your play store. Google Drive is great to share files and literally any material used for teamwork. It is also easy to work with as it has a very simple design and a smooth drop-down window for uploading files. Furthermore, Google Drive also has the advantage that you can immediately create a word document or any Microsoft Office Online document and share it via folder or simply the document itself.

Now, Microsoft Online has the benefit that you can work parallel to your team members on a document. This definitely helps make a group meeting easier, as well as the sharing of tasks and the team atmosphere in general. And if we are honest, working together is a lot more fun than sitting on a project alone.

#4 Zoom and Slack

I name those two in a bundle as I always used it together. Slack is ideal for sharing ideas and feedback. You can create channels based on projects or groups and either make them viewable by all people invited or lock them for specific people only. The good thing is, one can always comment and react to another person’s entry. I’d personally say Google Drive is amazing to share files but Slack is great to be more interactive with the team as it is a lot easier to communicate by chat.

As for meetings, I would recommend you to try out Zoom. I have to say that Zoom barely has bugs or lags and I was able to use it with a horrible internet connection too. But the actual reason why I recommend Zoom is the breakout rooms. Breakout rooms give you the opportunity to split a general team into smaller groups and give them the possibility to switch back and forth between one big group and small groups. Now this is perfect if you have one big team but need to split work in between them (Of course you can just have a normal meeting too!) Also, Zoom is easy to work with as it has a simple design.

#5 Forest or Study Bunny

Now we come to the probably most known productivity app: Forest!

The trick behind the app is, that the user sets a timer and then doesn’t interact with her phone until the time is over. You are rewarded with a healthy tree if you succeed or if not, you will have a dead tree in your garden. While you not only work hard in real life and get your tasks done you also have the opportunity to unlock cool new trees for your garden. Plus did you know that you can grow real trees with credits in-game?

Forest App
Study Bunny

Now, if you say “Trees aren’t really in my interest”, I have a nice alternative for you: StudyBunny. I am using the app for over half a year now and I just can recommend it. Study Bunny has the same principle as the forest but you can use your phone while the time runs. Instead of planting trees, you will get coins that you can exchange for your bunny’s clothes, work equipment, backgrounds, and more. Also, study bunny has an integrated to-do list, a cool work log where you can integrate criteria with unique colors, and also a function to practice vocabulary. And for the animal lovers: You can actually feed your bunny with carrots!

#6 HabitBull

Before you are done with the settings you choose the target days for success which is recommended to be 66 days (as it takes 66 days to change a habit).  In the main menu, you can see how your progress is in form of a diagram and statistics. This app is especially good if you put more importance on some habits as you can see how well you did in every habit separately – and it is free!

I have tried a ton of habit trackers and I finally stuck with HabitBull. HabitBull has a very simple design which makes it easy to use but it is also nice to look at. When you choose a habit you can pick between certain criteria and then enter whatever your new habit should be. This gives you the opportunity to see similar challenges and to get even more inspired to pull through. Then you can choose how you want to measure your success, a specific color, and when exactly your day is successful.

HabitBull

So these are the top 5 productivity apps for your android phone – if you have further apps you like to recommend: Feel free to leave a comment and I hope you are productive!

The Mindset Of Successful People

Daily hundreds of books are sold and thousands of courses taken, just to educate ourselves to be the next Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg. We work on ourselves daily, watch Ted talks of people we want to be like, and still wonder: What is the difference between him and me?

Why do some people earn millions and live their life fulfilling their goals – doing incredible things, while others are stuck in their job and want nothing more than change?

The answer is simple: We have different mindsets.

The first example is based on money but I do want to highlight that being successful depends on your own definition and goals and does not necessarily require a huge amount of money or money at all.

One of the clearest examples is the one given in the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad”. Mr. Kiyosaki explained how different his educated dad thinks compared to his rich dad and named the importance of

Managing your money correctly:

Now let me ask a question: What seems more familiar?  Do you manage money according to income and expenses or according to assets and liabilities? I definitely worked more with how much income I had and how much money I was able to spend. Before reading the book I didn’t even think about assets or liabilities in my private life, even though I want to become an accountant in the future.

In the famous book, Mr. Kiyosaki explains that most people concentrate on increasing liabilities as people take credits for houses or their student loans. The problem is that liabilities don’t make you rich, assets do. Assets bring money in, liabilities take money out of the pocket.

That’s why rich people concentrate more on saving money and investing in assets, such as real estate, stocks and bonds, and so on.

I definitely recommend you to read the book yourself. It has quite a few eye-openers in there plus a very motivational story of two best friends.

But let’s move on to the next one:

Don't care about other people's opinion!

Do you care? Many successful people stated that you should not care what people say or think about you. One example is Gary Vaynerchuk, who posted several videos on his youtube channel about how to not care about others’ opinions.

Another one is by Tony Robbins who instead mentioned: “I think you do care – but don’t let it stop you”.  In general, both men are right: Other people’s opinions should not stop you from being you or from doing what you love to do.

This also includes those social norms and rules we set even though they aren’t actually true. Why would you need to have a house to be a happy family or drive an expensive car to be successful? Don’t you want to obtain those things to just look good to other people?

If you want to build a house because it makes you happy: go for it! But don’t let others’ opinions and views change you or your goals.

And if we are scared of what people think about us- we also have to talk about this fear for failing.

David Goggins mentioned in one of his interviews that if we care about what other people say, we also will be afraid to fail – and we also will be afraid to try.

And I have seen this with a lot of people in my surrounding who dream about doing their own thing but in the end they won’t. They are too afraid of what their coworkers think, or their friends, or even random people on the streets. And they never started in the first place because their own thoughts, the fear of being judged, kept them from taking action.

Why would you let other people have such an influence on your life?

So how is it different when you don’t care about others’ words?  Mr. Goggins described the effect of not caring with being less insecure, with having control over your own mind. And if we look at this logically it is also clear that you get more opportunities when you have the confidence to take them. So don’t listen to other people and take your life in your own hands.

Continuously improving yourself:

Working on yourself is also a mindset that every successful person has. Starting from working out and having a healthy diet – up to staying constantly up to date to new information, readings, and changes in the niches they operate in or have interest in.

Warren Buffett once said:” The greatest investment you can make is investing in yourself”.What do you think he means by his words?

If you are a runner, push yourself daily to run faster or further. If you are a writer, work hard to write more words than yesterday. Expand your knowledge if you work in social media, law, as a doctor, or literally in any field possible. Knowledge makes you stronger.

Oprah Winfrey said: “That’s the number one thing you have to do, is to work on yourself and to fill yourself up, and keep your cup full.”(inc.com)

Be grateful but not satisfied

Now, this is also something people with an average income differ compared to people who are successful.

No matter at which point successful people are, they always are happy and grateful for what they have. But they stay hungry to achieve more. Just like Bruce Lee’s famous quote “Be happy, but never satisfied”. Successful people don’t base their happiness on their progress or the amount of money they have. Successful people are happy because they focus on the people they love and the things they enjoy. With or without money.

“I know I’m fortunate to live an extraordinary life, and that most people would assume my business success, and the wealth that comes with it has brought me happiness. But they haven’t; in fact, it’s the reverse. I am successful, wealthy, and connected because I am happy.” -Richard Branson

You are working a regular job and are happy? You are also unsatisfied with where you are right now? Then maybe the next point gives clearance why you still aren’t where you want to be:

Successful people put all effort in:

There is no slacking, procrastinating, or wasting time. Every moment is used to build on their dreams, goals, and ideas.

Could you imagine that Bill Gates worked 80 to 120h per week during his twenties and early thirties? 80-120h without taking days off and always being first and last in the office.

The same goes for Elon Musk who also works 80 to 120h per week to cover both Tesla and SpaceX.

Mark Zuckerberg on the other hand “only” works 50h to 60h a week.

Now, how many hours do you put into your goals every week? Working extra after finishing your regular job might seem exhausting, but in the end it is always rewarding to work on your goals or improve yourself. And when you really think you can no more, just think about how Bill Gates survived his 120 hour-weeks and how your life would change once you get there.

6 Essential Self-Care Products in 2020 – Self Love Ideas

Has your day been rough? Stressful? Studied for hours? Had a difficult customer? Stress with your partner? Or you just woke up on a peaceful Saturday, had your first cup of coffee and decided today will be my day. If you want to spoil yourself and show some self-love, I’ll show you my top 6 Self-Care products. Those products help me when I feel low or when I want to relax. In my opinion they would also make a great present.

This post contains affiliate links as part of the amazon associates’ program for products we enjoy. If you purchase a product through our link, we will receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Thanks for your support!

  1. The Nano Facial Mister

My sister got me one for my birthday and I love it. My grandma thinks I am a bit weird for misting my face, but it is super refreshing. And I can carry it around everywhere because it is so small. I use it on my plants too and they seem to like it as well.

The nano mister creates really fine mist. The tiny mist is supposed to penetrate your skin and moisturize it deeply. It’s also supposed to help you grow your eyelashes. Ok I haven’t seen the last effect so far, but it feels really awesome on hot days.

I am someone who has really sensitive skin. I break out easily. But the steam is really gentle, and it soothes my skin when it is irritated. I also feel that I break out less and that when I get a pimple it goes away faster. Though, I have only been using it for 4 weeks so that’s too soon to make any promises.

What I can promise is that it is very comforting. Imagine sitting on your sofa, listening to some music and misting your face before going to sleep. It feels cold like a gentle breeze at the ocean. Ok maybe I am being too romantic.  Sadly, you can’t control the mist temperature, and you are also not supposed to add salt. If that was possible it would be perfect.

  1. A Face Massage Roller

I got mine from Korea and warning! it’s not the same as the one from the pic. Mine looks a little more old fashioned.  I liked this one from amazon. It has a really sleek and modern design and it had really good rates. Let me know if you have tried it. I am thinking about buying this one!

In Korea almost all women have a face roller. It is supposed to improve blood circulation, reduce wrinkles and dark circles and help you shape your face. You can use it on any part of your body. I usually use it for face massages, while watching Netflix.

I am also thinking about getting this one:

Have you had any experience with this kind of roller? I have seen it all over Instagram lately. Heard it is nice and cooling after putting it in the fridge.

3. Electric Hand Warmers

Something else my boyfriend got me. An electric hand warmer. Life savers during winter. Who else gets cold hands while studying or typing on your computer? Plus aren’t they just adorable?

I also use mine when I get period cramps. The warmth helps. And gone are the times when you’ve had to refill the water every 30 minutes.

Guys if you want to spoil your girls, I am sure they would love it and you wouldn’t have to worry about getting frostbite from cold hands anymore! Sadly, I couldn’t find them on Amazon.

  1. The Sunsticks

Since I don’t want to get wrinkles, I try to use sunscreen every day. But cream is such a hassle and messy. Maybe that’s just me?  I love sun sticks – you can apply the sunscreen so fast. They are easy to transport and you don’t have to worry about spilling anything.

  1. A Massage Gun

This one is a little on the expensive side, but I love it. I am in a long-distance relationship and my boyfriend got me this one for my birthday so I could massage myself. Thanks to Corona it’s hard to meet at the moment. Of course, I would prefer him lol, but this one is a great substitute.

At first, I wasn’t that impressed when I heard “massage gun”, but alas it really surprised me.

These days I sit so much, because of home office work and my shoulders and neck get really tense. This one is awesome. After using it the pain is just gone. I also love the various speed and intensity settings.

6. Hair Bands

Also, a product I bought from Korea. Hair Bands are perfect for Face Masks and Face Care. They are soft and fluffy and keep your hair out of your face.

Those are my must-have self-care products I found in 2020. I hope you found sth. you might enjoy. Take some time off when you are stressed and do something for yourself.

Do you have any self-care products you absolutely love? Or a post you have on self-care? Share it below in the comments. We will definitelly check out your blogposts!
